Stephen Millward - Microbiology Technician, NP

Stephen was raised in New Plymouth, and attended school at Spotswood College. During secondary school he developed an interest in science, particularly in microbiology

He studied at Massey University in Palmerston North, where he completed a Bachelor of Technology, specialising in Biotechnology. Zelam helped him complete the practical work reports necessary to finish his degree.

Stephen is now the Microbiology Technician, part of which entails testing treated wood blocks against common decay fungi found in New Zealand and overseas - he also maintains stocks of these fungi.

When not at work his other interests include golf, and mountain biking through New Plymouths' many trails and walkways.
