Hailing from 'good farming stock' at Te Puia Springs out of Gisborne Sam obtained a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from Lincoln University. His subsequent 17 year career within the horticultural and agricultural industry has taken him from the King Country in the North to the deepest South.

Sam now calls Dunedin (as well as Carisbrook and Otago rugby) home. Married with a young family and with screeds of in-laws within Otago and Southland, Sam is Zelam’s most Southern based territory manager.

With an area spanning from Temuka to Tuatapere, both coasts and everywhere in between Sam is right in the thick of it all and loves it. The size and scope of his region brings in to play diverse climates and land use and with it, its unique challenges.

Sam looks forward to introducing Zelam’s increasing range of innovative products to the growers and farmers of the south.
